La Luna is a suite of photographic images with associated Haiku poetry exploring our relationship with the moon.
I have utilised the moon as a light source and drawing tool to create images for my haiku poetry. Spending many months on the night of a full moon drawing with my camera. This is an ongoing body of work. Each photograph is accompanied by a unique Haiku poem written by me.
The greatest message from the moon is the symbolism for a chance of renewal of meaning. Science may portray her as an airless desert full of craters and dust. However in my minds eye and private world she is the realm of hope and dreams in the past, present and future. The moon provides me with an atlas of social, cosmic, spiritual and psychological maps with which I can attempt to navigate my way through my own nature, society and the universe.
